Bubbles, Rupert, Furry Freaks, President Obama & Stockwell Shakti

Daddy and Aunty Bubbles are not talking. Why? Did I ever mention that my Aunty Pauline is a bit of a fan of llamas?  Maybe. Anyway she is. She thinks the long-necked furry freaks are just the bees-knees and she has pictures of them all over her front room, right round the room. Daddy calls it her llamarama. She’s even been to South America on a llama Trekking holiday. Anyway. She came round this morning in a bit of a state and I heard everything ‘cos I was earsdropping while I was pretending to be asleep, and cuddling My Friend Rupert Soft Toy.  She told Mummy and Daddy that recently she had a friend staying for a while. This was one of her ‘political’ friends, which means strange people she meets at pressure group meetings and befriends. Anyway, she chummed up with this woman called Stockwell Shakti who had some trouble at home and needed a room. Typical of lovely Bubbles, she let Shakti stay.  It seems that Shakti, although very nice, is a bit obsessive and has a mad thing at the moment about President Obama. Aunty Bubbles got home one evening to find Shakti taking down all her precious llama pictures and replacing them with snapshots of Barrack. Now bear with me on this because I think you can see where I’m going but this is gospel. Bubbles got very upset, they had a big row and, eventually, Bubbles told her to go. Now Bubbles has calmed down, can’t find her and she came round to Daddy and Mummy for a bit of support as she is worried, upset… and quite frankly, a little bonkers. Anyway. That’s not why Daddy and Bubbles aren’t talking. They aren’t talking because Mummy asked Shakti’s surname. It turned out to be Varma. Then Daddy, rather than just listen, tried to be clever and said, grinning from ear to ear as they stood at the door, the immortal words -  ”Don’t worry Bubbles, we’ll do what we can about your Obama Llamarama Varma Drama. Bubbles just stared at him and then turned and walked away. Oh dear.
