Yes. ZingZilla toys are coming. Following the success of this exciting, captivating and innovative musical show from CBeebies, we are counting down the time until children will be able to interact with Zak, Tang, Panzee and Drum, and the rest of the ZingZillas gang.
We are already big fans here at tommywantstoys.co.uk, and it seems a long time since we were given an insider view of the toys at the Toy fair in January, by Vivid’s excellent marketing people.
Due to begin releasing in the autumn/winter of 2010, with a full rollout set from Spring/Summer 2011 the range of ZingZilla toys, plush dolls, games, playsets and puzzles from Vivid, should appeal to just about every fan of the show, with a wide range of, nightwear and underwear from Akroyds and TDP licensing and toiletries, and character dressing up items from Christy’s as well as wheeled toys – including scooters, from Martin Yaffe.
Bathtime toys will come from H&A who will also produce soaps and other bathroom accessories.
More licenses have been added and Character World have been signed to produce bedding, DNC to provide lunchware and melamine ware, socks will be developed by Samuel Eden and children’s bags and umbrellas will be created by Trademark Collections. There will even be furniture from Worlds Apart.
Yup. ZingZillas is becoming as big as it promised to be. In a press release, the head of UK licensing for BBC Worldwide children’s and licensing, Richard Hollis, informed us

Early samples of product from Vivid look fantastic and we’ll be showing select partners what’s on offer at Toy Fair. We’ve already had an unprecedented response from retail for listings for this autumn.”
Well, tommywantstoys.co.uk was lucky enough to be one of those select partners and we are very excited about the toys we saw.
